| 11. | And embarking in a ship he crossed over (the sea) and came into his own city. And they brought to him a paralytic laid on a mattress. Seeing their faith Jesus said to the paralytic. “Be of good cheer child your sins are forgiven you.” And some of the scribes said amongst themselves. "This man is blaspheming." Jesus knew their thoughts and said “Why do you think evil things in your hearts? For which is easier to say “Your sins are forgiven you” or to say “Rise up and walk?” But I do this in order that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins” Then he said to the paralytic. “Get up, take your mattress and go home.” And rising up he went away to his house But seeing this the crowds feared and glorified God for giving such authority to men. 9:1-8 |
